Notice of updates to Punktum dk EPP service, May 2nd, 2024 between 14:00 and 15:00 CEST

On Thursday, May 2nd 2024 between 14:00 and 15:00 CEST , Punktum dk will perform updates to our EPP service, deploying version 4.11.0 in our testbed environment located at epp-sandbox.dk-hostmaster.dk
This release contains several improvements to contact create and contact update commands, focusing on ensuring quality of received data from registrars.
The changes are primarily related to validation of VAT and P numbers of Danish business entities by performing lookup in the Danish Business Registry (CVR)
Additionally, the release introduces an updated XSD (dkhm-4.4) coatning addition of extension dkhm:VID to the domain info command. This boolean field is used to inform if VID-service is associated with the requested domain, thus preventing numerous operations from being performed without accept of the designated domain VID contact. The domain eksempel.dk contains "true" status on testbed environment. See https://punktum.dk/en/articles/vid-service for further information regarding VID.
Furthermore, the new EPP version will also be made available in production located at epp.dk-hostmaster.dk. With this release, we introduce new infrastructure to support multiple XSD versions in parallel. Based on the XSD version specified in the received client command, the request is redirected to the server nodes running the corresponding EPP version, e.g.
• dkhm-4.3 -> EPP version 4.10.1 (current production version)
• dkhm-4.4 -> EPP version 4.11.0
This allows registrars to switch to the new version of EPP when they are ready to do so, not having to wait to a specific cut-over date.
No downtime is expected in any of the mentioned environments during these activities.
Please note that dkhm-4.3 / EPP version 4.10.1 will be decommissioned on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024.

• Correction of invalid response code 1000 on failed commands (known issue #1951)

Decommissioning of Punktum dk service DS Update (DSU) on July 1st, 2024

On July 1st, 2024, Punktum.dk will decommission the DS Update (DSU) service. This decision is primarily motivated by the notably low traffic volume, alongside the presence of a comparable feature within the existing EPP service.

Decommissioning of Punktum dk service NS Update (NSU) on September 2nd, 2024

On September 2nd, 2024, Punktum.dk will decommission the NS Update (DSU) service. This decision is primarily motivated by the notably low traffic volume, alongside the availability of AUTH-token features within the existing EPP service as well as the Self-Service Portal.
