Decommissioning of Punktum dk service DS Update (DSU) on July 1st, 2024 Jul 1, 2024 09:00-10:00 CEST

On July 1st, 2024, Punktum.dk will decommission the DS Update (DSU) service. This decision is primarily motivated by the notably low traffic volume, alongside the presence of a comparable feature within the existing EPP service.

Scheduled - We will be implementing important bug-fixes in central components in our production environment regarding internal financial processes April 18th 2024 06:00 CEST – 07:30 CEST. The update itself is expected to take approximately 45-60 minutes and will be implemented within this time frame.

During the update process, the following actions will be either unavailable or queued:
- Activation of domain (accept of terms and conditions and the registrant has to be ID-controlled if required)
- Manual renewal of domain name
- Change of name servers for domain name
- Change registrar for domain name
- Cancel/delete domain name
- Undo cancel/delete domain name
- Restore domain name from suspension due to automatic expiration/cancellation
- Change ownership of domain name
- Change period for domain name
- Merge subscription periods
- Change proxy contact for domain name
- Change billing contact for domain name
- Creation of nameserver, if the appointed name server administrator is a new user
- Adoption of payer role for a given domain as registrar
- VID service addition and removal
- Cancel and update of waiting list position
- Update of new users/contacts

The .dk name service will not be affected by this update.

Scheduled - On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, Punktum dk will perform updates to the following services between 10:00 CEST and 11:00 CEST:

• Self-Service Portal to version 5.21.0

No service downtime is expected during these updates.

This release contains additional improvements of user contact information administration on non-registrar handled users, in order to improve the overall quality of data:

• Validation of EAN (electonic invoicing for Danish users) during contact creation and update.
• Enable graceful locking of user on failed login. Instead of locking the user 24 hours before new login can be completed, the locking period now starts with n minutes and is gradually increased based on number of failed attempts.
• Added support for DNSSEC algorithms 15 and 16.
• Various minor layout and error corrections.
