Scheduled
On Monday, November 3, 2025, Punktum dk A/S WHOIS-related services will be updated to begin publishing registrant email addresses of companies, organizations, and public entities in compliance with the NIS2 Directive, ensuring transparency and accessibility for communication and incident reporting. Sole proprietorships are exempt from this requirement.
The release will be made available in our sandbox and production environments.
Expected Impact • No downtime is expected during this maintenance window.
Changes Included Email addresses for companies, organizations, and public entity registrants will be made publicly available if they meet the following criteria:
1. Danish Registrants (Based on CVR Data) Email addresses will be public for Danish registrants who are listed in and locked to the Central Business Register (CVR), unless they are categorized as one of the following: • Sole Proprietorship (Enkeltmandsvirksomhed) • Deceased Estate (Dødsbo) • Personally Owned Small Business (Personligt ejet mindre virksomhed) • Bankruptcy estate under trustee administration (Konkursbo under kuratorbehandling)
2. Non-Danish Registrants Email addresses will be public for Non-Danish registrants with a registered VAT number, excluding those classified as a Sole Proprietorship (Enkeltmandsvirksomhed).
Email Display Rules • Email addresses for all other entities will remain hidden as a precautionary measure. • For the registrants whose email is made public (as defined in Criteria 1 and 2), the secondary email address specified in the user account will be displayed by default. • If no secondary email is provided, the primary email address will be shown instead.
Procedure for Foreign Sole Proprietorships Non-Danish registrants who can provide documentation confirming their Sole Proprietorship status may be manually classified as such through the Registrar Portal or by contacting Punktum dk A/S customer service. A similar feature will be made available through the EPP in January 2026.
