Feature Release: Registrant ID Validation Status in WHOIS

Scheduled for Jun 9, 10:00 - 10:30 CEST

Scheduled

Punktum dk is pleased to announce the availability of Registrant ID Validation Status as a new data field in WHOIS lookup responses.

This feature increases transparency by providing visibility into how a registrant's identity has been validated. The validation status is displayed directly in the WHOIS response and reflects the verification method used during the registration process.

The following validation statuses may be shown:

• ID checked by registrar – The registrar has performed an identity check.
• ID verified via electronic ID – The registrant's identity has been verified using an approved electronic identification method.
• ID verified by submission of documentation – The registrant has provided documentation that has been reviewed and approved.
• Registrant approved after a risk assessment – The registration has been approved following a risk-based review process.

This enhancement supports greater trust and transparency in the .dk domain ecosystem and is available immediately through standard WHOIS lookups.
